Five star show at Haileybury

Tonbridge bounced back in style with a convincing win at Haileybury, scoring five goals without reply Playing up the slope, but with the wind, Tonbridge could have taken an early lead, but Defour's shot cannoned off the bar. Losing the skipper, Taylor after only five minutes was a setback, and when Defour came off minutes later, things could haev come off the rails, but Adamo and Cocke slotted into the system and the opening goal from Tribe duly came with a fine cutback from Bailey. A second followed before half time when a long ball into the box from Zanelli found Tribe, who held the ball up before scoring from five yards.

The second half saw Tonbridge try out a 4-3-3 formation and they scored some fine goals to take the match away from Haileybury. Cocke rifled in a fine shot from a flowing move and Bailey's smart finish from Tribe's lay off made the game safe. The returning Defour finsihed neatly from ten yards and the game was definitely over. HAileybury rallied for ten minutes and there were a few clearances off the line and a good save from Balfour, but this was a comfortable victory and set the boys up well for the final week of the season.
