Match Report
Tonbridge School 4th XI vs  Brighton College
On: Saturday, 26 Jan 2019
Venue: at Home

We played rather naively in the first half, failing to play the ball on the ground and use the width of the pitch. However, we still created some good chances and Horn was always dangerous playing off Tommy Owen-Browne. The latter opened the scoring and Jack Salt missed a good chance from a cross ball by Max Horn to make it two. We then let them back in the game with a rather soft goal, following a number of chances to clear after a break. Tommy went off injured at half time and Jack Kirkland stepped in at CDM; the axis of Wild, Hardy and Kirkland made us look much more secure and we were more composed on the ball. Horn was always dangerous playing off their last man and the Brighton keeper made several good saves. Finally Harvey Thomson met a cross with a neat finish. Further chances went by the wayside and Brighton were always in it, but I was proud of the way we tried to track back and be first to the ball. Well done to Phil Saunes on his debut -- he made two or three crucial saves and interceptions.
